Halifax Vandals  37- 0 Sheffield Oaks

 

Sheffield Oaks took the trip up to Halifax on the back of a 4 match winning streak but unfortunately this was ended by a valiant but disorganised performance.  Oaks, playing with a number of key players unavailable, were further hampered as they suffered 3 long term injuries and finished the game playing with 14 men. Vandals played aggressively but were plagued by handling errors and poor discipline and showed themselves up by not scoring more against a clearly debilitated side. This was emphasised when Chris Edwards embarrassed the Vandals' number 14 - Chris denied the show-boating winger by causing him to knock on over the line with an impressive ball-and-all tackle.
