Golden Moment - Lyndon's opening try.....it was all downhill from there.

As Nick put it we imploded.  In what could have been a great opportunity to get some points and tries on the board Oaks went in over confident against the the 13 man Old Grovians.  After a brilliant try from Lyndon Oaks went to sleep.  Poor commitment from the forwards at the breakdown combined with some poorly structured defence and unforced errors allowed Old Grovians back into the game.  Grovians managed to get all their trys from broken play runs and stealing the ball.  Numerous time Oaks pressured Grovians but their lack of cohesion and aggression allowed the game to slip away.

 

Despite a generally poor performance there were some great individual moments that saw some great runs and indeed trys from Lyndon, Nick, Tom and Dave Mitch.
