Training -

We will be training EVERY Wednesday starting at 7pm. We will be training in the floodlit area at Hillsborough Park so if you turn up late you know where we will be!! Some training will be conducted at the club on occasions. We have sent people on coaching courses over the summer so will be conducting properly structured fun training sessions so get down and lets have a good season!! At our level just being really fit will propbably win you the game!!

Recruitment-

We managed to recruit 15 new players last year through the efforts of a limited number of helpers. We will be conducting a proper recruitment plan this year and hope to get all involved. We will have a BBQ mid August, flyer drops and a stand at O-week at the universtiy. If you know of any people interested in playing rugby please get them down too!

Club Future -

To get the club moving forwards we set some goals last year and achieved them. We are going to set some new goals this year too.

Be in the top 4 clubs by the end of the season
Get more members involed in the running of the club
Improve club spirit through social functions
Improve communication between players and club comittee members
Improve the facilities available to the players including; a better gym, training equipment, jerseys and medical bag.
Develop a seconds team to play in a merrit league

Should you ever have something to say about the club please feel free to put your comments here and approach any of the club comittee. We have anual general meetings (AGM's) where you can voice your opinions too.

At the end of the day its all of our club so get involved and make it great!!!

Lets look forwards to a great 2008/09 season!!

Hello!!!

Sorry to tell so late, but today I have the last meeting with the coordinator and all the group have dinner together.

I ve really enjoy this month with you is very amazing to be with people in another country only with one thing in common"RUGBY".

I start now to do the immposible to repeat the next year here in Sheffield.

I want with all my soul stay here again with ALL THE OAKS.

Can I just say a big well done and thank you to the authors of the last 2 Oaks Undercover stories. They are both very funny pieces! Especially the 'vole' piece, I was in fits of laughter! Thanks for brightening up my day after a boring sunday of writing notes :)

Training ! ! !

Training... that nasty thing you've got to do before playing the beautiful game on Saturdays!! Just to let you all know Training starts at 7pm on Wednesday nights. Please arrive for 6.50pm so we can start at 7pm. If you cant make it a text to me is always appreciated. Also if you can needle more people to get down to training it is always more fun and you can do more. And don't forget Chicks dinner and desert!!

We are slowly working at getting a better place to train and we'll let you know as that happens!! Till then 'The Gas Club' 7pm Wednesdays!! C U there ! !

Clubs Future 2007/08 - Get Involved

After a recent comitee meeting there have been a few ideas thrown around to improve things at the club they include,

More social functions
Locate another permenant fixture close to the club untill Myers Grove gets fixed
Get a bus for away games
Secure a lit area to train through the long dark winter
Get more training equipment and possibly a coach

If you have any other ideas let us know and we will see what we can do. If you want to get invloved more with the club please approach Stuart Whiteley with your ideas!!

Recruitment 2007/08

As always we are keen to promote the club and recruit new players. We have done well this season but we can always do better.

Stuart Whiteley has recently obtained flyers and promo gear from the RFU to distribute to the local population. If you would like to put some up in local pubs, shops, gyms or business cards for when your out on the piss. Please come and grab some from him ASAP.

Don't for get to ask freinds and family if they know of any interested people.
